Soft Tissue
Reduce local tension and help prepare restricted areas for movement.
A personalized workplace movement program
SMART gives employees practical, individualized support for non-acute musculoskeletal discomfort—delivered on-site, measured over time, and built around the work they actually do.

The workplace problem
General wellness education has value, but it cannot account for each employee’s history, movement habits, symptoms, or job demands.
SMART begins with the individual. Each participant receives a focused assessment, a short personalized plan, guided progression, and a final review of how those changes carry into their work.
The SMART method
Each stage has a purpose. The sequence changes to suit the person rather than forcing everyone through the same routine.
Reduce local tension and help prepare restricted areas for movement.
Restore useful range where movement has become limited or guarded.
Engage the muscles needed to support the newly available range.
Integrate better mechanics into practical patterns and work demands.
Reassess relevant measures and observe how movement carries into the workplace.
The employee journey
Symptoms, function, movement, and work demands.
A personal SMART sequence with clear cues.
2 realistic priorities between visits.
Repeat the relevant measures and adjust.
Compare changes and coach the next step.
Experience behind the method
Bryan has spent his career helping people understand and improve persistent musculoskeletal issues. His experience includes ten years as the founder and operator of Catalyst, national speaking, published work on chronic pain, and training professionals across Canada. He also served as head trainer for the Canadian National Dodgeball Team, helping athletes address movement imbalances and persistent musculoskeletal pain.
Organizations and audiences
Proof that matters
The program does not promise a predetermined result. It creates a baseline, applies an individualized plan, and uses repeat measures to decide what happens next.
What changed in the employee’s reported discomfort?
What moves differently in the relevant range or pattern?
What can the employee do differently at work or in daily life?
Employer reporting is aggregated and does not include identifiable employee health information.
Client perspective
“I have suffered from chronic upper back/neck issues for the last 20 years. I attend weekly sessions to receive injections to help with my pain. After working with Bryan for 7 weeks, and having him really listen and understand my perception of what I've been going through, I can't put into words how much better my quality of life has become. There is no more movement apprehension in day-to-day activities, and I have dropped my weekly injections to monthly. He is the only practitioner I've seen where I feel as though I'm heard and understood.”
